About the Visitation Team

The Visitation Team has a mission of making a difference in someone’s life by offering its time through attentive conversation and prayer. Many times, people are unable to visit the church due to illness, disability, or various other reasons. This lack of mobility is often accompanied by a feeling is isolation. The Visitation Team helps ease this feeling by visiting those who are homebound or living in nursing, personal care, and transitional cares homes.

This ministry, which started at Oakland in 2015, is open to all. Visitation may require PA Criminal and PA Child Abuse clearances, which can be discussed with Ellen Flicker or Pastor Ed.

The Visitation Team ministry provides companionship to those who are homebound, or are in assisted-living, personal care, or transitional care situations.
